Talbott Woodworks is a father and son team, using woodworking skills and knowledge passed down through five generations.
Together, with Steve’s technical prowess and tradition combined with Rich’s creativity and vision, the Talbott Woodworks family designs one of a kind pieces of art and furniture to complete your home.
Woodworking has been in the Talbott family's blood dating back to the late 1800s. Richard "Dick" Talbott Jr. spent a lifetime woodworking making anything from grandfather clocks, tables, toys, to cabinets. He passed on his love of woodworking to his son Steve. As Dick grew older he handed down his tools to Steve, many of which are still used in our shop today. Steve's son Rich soon caught the woodworking bug and decided to focus on different areas in woodworking such as live edge, epoxy work, cutting boards and exotic hardwoods. Rich's friend Sam encouraged him to make a business out of it and in February of 2019 Talbott Woodworks was born. Sadly Dick passed away a couple months later but his memory is alive and well through our work. Today Rich and Steve continue to grow the business and have introduced Steve's son Brian into the fold.
No two pieces are the same! At the end of the process, you will have a 100% original piece made exactly how you want it. If your piece is branded with the Talbott Woodworks deer rest assured you have a handmade piece like no other that will be built to last made of the finest woods.
We feel epoxy should compliment the wood and that the wood itself is the star of the show. Each color is unique and hand mixed for each customer. We use the finest finishes available to bring out the natural of beauty of the wood.
We get many questions about our logo. The logo, designed by Rich, incorporates the fallow deer, which frequents the grounds of Malahide Castle in Dublin, Ireland where the Talbott family once lived.
We create pieces you can enjoy for years to come. If you ever encounter a design flaw or craftsmanship issue, we are readily available to ensure it is fixed. We are also always available to help you with any questions to maintain the look of your piece.
